Programs Used:
The Palm Community Support Hub is located in the village Nanuna on Koro Island, Fiji. Created in third-year studio, this project imagines a welcoming hub for community and support.
Project Goal:
- Design a supportive environment for climate-displaced communities in Fiji
- Help users adjust to relocation beyond just physical housing needs
- Support emotional, cultural, and community well-being during transition
- Create a space for support, connection, and community rebuilding
Primary Users:
- Climate-displaced individuals and families from coastal communities in Fiji
- Experiencing loss of home, livelihood, and cultural connection
- Service providers (healthcare, counsellors social services, education)
- Community members, leaders, and relocation decision-makers
